These carefully dyed 5-7" long schlappen spey feathers are the highest grade, best quality schlappen hackle available today. You will always have one excellent side of the feather to wrap. These generous quarter ounce packages give you a nice range of size 4 to 1/0 steelhead hook sizes. Outstanding for steelhead and salmon spey flies, saltwater flies, Alaska flies and bass bugs! 1/4 ounce packet.
FLY TYING TIP: Strip the barbules from the worst side of the spey hackle and wind it carefully forward using a bit of saliva while stroking the hackle backwards to separate, control and place the hackles.
